I was wondering if I just bought bad media. The product on the label said it's made in Taiwan and the writing on the label is in English and Spanish (Mexico). So far the first few disks burned okay. About maybe disk 7-10 burned terrible. Some of the discs weren't recognized and I'm beginning to wonder if I bought fakes or just bought really bad media. I bought them from supermediastore.com. They are TDK. So far the overall quality of TTH02 is terrible, at least for the batch I have. Good thing I only bought 100 DVD pack. I can't scan PI/PO because I have a Plextor 716SA drive. Hopefully I will buy a NEC or Liteon DVDRW drive soon. I just need someone to verify this information.

If they're TDK-branded, there's nothing fake about them; you just got a bad batch. I returned a 100-disc spindle of TTH02 because they were awful. I think the dye is fine as made in Japan TTH02 is excellent; CMC (who makes the Taiwanese version) just needs to work on the mechanical characteristics of the discs as FE-TE tests showed them to be far from flat.
