| Sony Pioneer Sony OEM 107D Burner DVD mfg 8x Speed I want to burn DVD+R 8X speed. I have SONY RZ-54G computer with a PIONEER DVD+R 8X DVR-107D BURNER. No problem I thought...I went to Pioneer and read what DVD media manufacturers and Pioneer firmware are supported at that speed. Pioneer's firmware is up to 1.13 - BUT because its a Pioneer Sony OEM drive, the SONT PIONEER firmware is OEM Revision 1 and the Pioneer website says it is the most current version and no updates are available. And no other info is given regarding what DVD manufacturer is supported at 8X burn. AND, I cant get from SONY what DVD manufacturers are supported at 8X burning. They told me to try different ones and see for myself. Anyone know a solution to my SONY MESS? |

| Re: Sony Pioneer Sony OEM 107D Burner DVD mfg 8x Speed I absolutely love this forum...I got my answer in about 10 minutes. I was on the phone with SONY jerk-off customer service reps who had no idea what I was talking about for 3 hours. And add one nice Pioneer tech guy - who couldnt help me either. I'm going to read up before I flash, cause I am afraid of damage, and then post my results later tonight. |
