Ricoh DVD+R media code?

I have some Memorex and Fujifilm DVD+R media. Both have a Ricoh media code. But, the serial numbers look a lot like those on Ritek CD-Rs. I have seen that Ritek DVD+Rs have a Ricoh media code. And Memorex and Fuji have both used Ritek before for media. Didn't Ritek make CD-Rs for Ricoh once? This all makes me think that Ritek is making DVD+Rs with Ricoh's media code. Is this true?

Yes, all the DVD+R discs with a Ricoh media code are cirrently made by Ritek. Earlier this year, Ritek claimed that close to 80% of the world's +R discs were produced by them. Just check the following link to find out how many brands of discs were made by Ritek.

@scottmso: To add to synergy3618's comments above, RiTEK makes all the current Ricoh CD-R's and DVD+R's, both using Ricoh's ATIP or manufacturer ID codes.
