I was wondering what media (dvd) is capable of playing on the ps2 console as im making dvd movies but it doesnt play well on the ps2.
please tell what media i need and what website or info on how 2 get them.

i know that ps2 can read dvd-r because i have done some of them to one of my friends. what kind of burning program do you use ? see you for now

maybe even because i don't know the possible settings of this software. i suggest you to use CloneDVD. but the question is : do you want to see on the ps2 your own made dvds or backuped dvd movies? maybe i have understood bad your problem

yeah, im trying to make a dvd from scratch, not trying to back-up.

ok, now i have cleaner ideas on the problem

try to make the dvd fileswith your software and burning with CloneDVD or with Nero 5.5.x in UDF format. you should have no problem in this way.

um i was doing thaty in the first place my freind.

but a question in my mind : the dvds you have made, are readable by a dvd-rom of a PC or of a stand alone dvd player ?

second thing . these are the settings i have used to burn dvds with nero 5.5.10.x and readable by ps2 :

DVD-ROM (UDF)
Multisession : No Multisession
UDF partition type : Physical partition
File system version : UDF 1.02

not to be boring but i hope you have burned the VIDEO_TS directory and all file names are in uppercase

yes they can be read in my lg dvd-rom reader fine
what media do you use (dvd)
do those settings work perfectly on your dvd player? like totally smooth playback?

I have used these settings until i have discovered CloneDVD some months ago. I play my dvds on a Philips DVD722 standalone dvdplayer and they work fine. My medias are above all Sony DMR47 (DVD-R) but also some Princo , Magnex and That's Write
