Attaching disc quality scans to your post

Before we begin

For the sake of consistency, it is preferred that your disc quality scans be done with either Nero CD-DVD Speed or KProbe. If you are not familiar with disc quality scanning, please read this entry in the F.A.Q. for PC DVD-Writers.

Saving your scan

Please save your scan as PNG files! This ensures that the scan is clear and has a small file size. Please do not use JPEGs, GIFs, or BMPs!

The easiest way to do this is to click on the diskette button to bring up the save dialog. (located in Nero CD-DVD Speed's titlebar or in KProbe's toolbar)

CD-DVD Speed:        KProbe:

Be sure that the PNG file type is selected when saving the file.

Attaching your scan

Simply click on the Manage Attachments button that appears below the text entry box and follow the on-screen instructions!

But... what if you don't see a "Manage Attachments" button? Where is it? If you can't see "Manage Attachments" button, then you are probably using the "Quick Reply" text box. If this is the case, simply click on the "Go Advanced" button () to go to the regular reply mode where you should see the "Manage Attachments" button.
