| Looking for Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs in Toronto, Canada Long story short, I've always used cheap CDs to burn stuff. Recently, I needed a WinXP Pro CD burnt two years ago and it crapped out!! So now I am looking for some TY CD-R that is close that I can go and pick up. I've seen a few threads where someone recommended http://blankmedia.ca but they are located in Kitchener. I am wondering, is this package authentic TY CD-R [http://blankmedia.ca/proddetail3.asp?id=1409], because I think I've seen this a local computer shop (http://www.canadacomputers.com) Thanks! |

| Re: Looking for Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs in Toronto, Canada At College/Spadina, Sonnam has both DVD-Rs and CD-Rs by TY. I had a look at their DVD-Rs and they seemed genuine enough (hub code starting with GG). I didn't pay attention to their CDs though. At Best Buy/Future Shop, the Fujifilm Photo CD-Rs are by TY. As well, I saw some Maxell CD-Rs for audio that were in a TY cakebox. I'm not sure how well those would work for data... |

| Re: Looking for Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs in Toronto, Canada theSpam, thanks for the detailed info. So at Best Buy/Future Shop, as long as the Fujifilm Photo CD-Rs are Made in Japan (MIJ), then they are TY? FactFinder, thanks also for the detailed infomation as well. So no one knows if the link provided in my first post is authentic TY? http://blankmedia.ca/proddetail3.asp?id=1409 |

I've skimmed the TY FAQ but it's mostly applicable to DVD media and not CD-R. Now I bought a pack of TY CD-R but they seem different that than in the link provided: http://blankmedia.ca/proddetail3.asp?id=1409 From the link, you see that the media is in tourquise green cover with SKU: CDR80SPP25EB. The pack I bought today is with a red cover and a SKU: CDR80WPP25EB. I am wondering if these are authentic or are these fakes? I don't want to open it unless I am 100% sure it's real TY or I can't refund it. Can someone please confirm? | |
