| Are 5.2GB DVD-RAM discs compatible with all DVD-RAM burner drives ? I'm about to purchase an NEC-4550 drive which can burn DVD-RAM at 5x. I always thought DVD-RAM held 4.7GB, but came across some 5.2GB DVD-RAM discs. Are these larger capacity DVD-RAM discs compatible with all DVD-RAM burner drives ? |

| Re: Are 5.2GB DVD-RAM discs compatible with all DVD-RAM burner drives ? The 2.6/5.2 GB (Single/Double sided) discs are for older (rev1) DVD-RAM drives only, as rdgrimes said they wont work in newer drives. Q. |
