XVID movie is jerky!

I have an XVID format movie file that I would like to burn to DVD. I tried to use NeroVision Express 2, but when I preview the movie with whatever media player I choose, the movie doesn't play as it should. The sound is fine, but the picture is very jerky. I have only ever had this problem with XVID files. What can I do?

Re: XVID movie is jerky!

If they play like this from HD then it is a bad Xvid codec install or conflict i.e if you get jerky/stuttering motion in normal play from HD then it may be a field swap problem or your PC is too slow to cope.

Re: XVID movie is jerky!

Maybe you could defrag the hard disk. Hopefully that would improve things.
