I have been using
WinDVD Creator 2 (Platinum) -wcreator2- for several months with out major problems. (The one of only a very few programs that will work with ".dvr-ms" files. Just receintly, I picked up some DL (Memorex) media for a project that is 3 hr long, and I wanted to use the "SP" option. The program worked well with the "burn to disc" option in the burning wizard. Howerver, since the media is still quite expensive, I decided to use the "burn to hard disc" option to verify the rendering was correct. This process also worked well with the provision that wcreator has a warning message "the content may be too large to burn Proceed yes/ no" OK, true for "standard" DVD+R, so enter "yes" and continue. The problem is with "load content to burn" option. Wcreator loads the content, stat's the burner (LITE-ON SHOW-832S), and indicates the correct (2.4x, optimum) burn speed. But, at the next step, returns an error "content is too large to burn". The only choice is to abort.
Has any one else had this problem? Is it suppoed to work or is NOT SUPPORTED?
Thanks.
