Video squished from sides - Club CDFreaks

When i used dvd2svcd to convert an avi file to mpg the clip was squashed into a rectangle!! i chose converted at 4:3 no borders but it seemed to just created these borders on the side for me.......

If the original AVI is fullscreen 4:3, then select 16:9(borders added, encode as 4:3) would you believe. This problem will be fixed in the next DVD2SVCD release.
