| VCD Vs SVCD I have looked through the various threads and can't find an answer to this, what is the diference between a VCD and a SVCD? I have been burning to VCD so far and have no complaints but I am wondering if there is any advantage to buring movies to SVCD instead. |

| VCD is MPEG1 has a resolution of 352x240 (NTSC) and a constant video bitrate of 1150 (XVCD you can change both of these). SVCD is MPEG2 and has a video resolution of 480x480 and a constant bitrate of 2520, but this can be set to variable to allow for a smaller file size without sacrificing too much quality. SVCD is the way to go if your after quality... check out vcdhelp.com for more info |
