Unsure if demux step needed

Hi,
I am creating a VOB file using ffmpeg like this

ffmpeg -i "C:\Test.Avi" -target pal-dvd -aspect 4:3 -acodec ac3 -ab 448 -ac 2 -y C:\VTS_01_1.VOB

Can I feed this into dvdauthor to generate the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS like so:

dvdauthor -o "C:\stuff" -t -f "C:\VTS_01_1.VOB"
dvdauthor -o "C:\stuff" -T

or does dvdauthor expect a different kind of VOB?

I ask this because ive seen an intermediate vob being fed into dvdauthor in other examples, which consisted of the following

bbdmux.exe "C:\VTS_01_1.VOB" 0xbd "C:\VTS_01_1.ac3" 0x80
bbdmux.exe "C:\VTS_01_1.VOB" 0xe0 "C:\VTS_01_1.m2v"

mplex.exe -f 8 -V -o "C:\remuxedVTS_01_1.VOB" "C:\VTS_01_1.m2v" "C:\VTS_01_1.ac3"

From what I can see, this just splits the original VOB into m2v and ac3 streams and back into a vob. The example ive seen passes ths remuxed vob to dvdauthor. Can I ignore this step? or is there more to this?
Thanks.
