Ulead Movie Factory 5 Help Needed - Club CDFreaks

I am using Pinnacle 10 to create Mpeg 2 files that I then use Ulead Movie Factory to create a DVD Video.

The problem is that everything seems fine until 99% of the burning process has completed. The software tells me that it is unable to complete the burning process. This is annoying as I have to wait until very near the end to find out that it wont work.

This does not always happen, but I have lost all faith in the programme and I often have to resort to Nero when burning DVD video's.

I am certain that there is not a proble with Pinnacle 10 as I use the software often and am able to burn files using Nero. I really like the features in Movie Factory and would prefer to use it if I could resolve this annoying problem.

It often happens if I try to burn multiple Mpeg 2 clips on to 1 DVD. Finding out which of the Mpeg files is causing the problem often takes too long and can be expensive each time a DVD is only 99% written. I have tried downloading the latest updates but have the same problem. The software is installed on 3 different computers all running XP but with different software running. I have the same problem with all the installations.

Any help or advise will be verry much appreciated.

I usually write the output to a VIDEO_TS folder on the hard drive and burn with either Nero or ImgBurn.

The program is so good at everything else it does, that for me, burning the final VIDEO_TS folder with another app seems a small price to pay.

But then again, I almost always export to a VIDEO_TS folder regardless of app. When I use DVD Shrink, it's the same thing for me. Write as VIDEO_TS folder to the hard drive and burn with something else.

I guess I just accept the limitation. I've done it that way since MovieFactory 3.5, cause it never burned right in that one either for me.
