| It would help a little if you actually mentioned the type of file, etc that your trying to split.

| Hmmm... is it an MPEG1 or an MPEG2 mpg ? If its an mpeg2 file, then use MPEG2Cut to chop the file, its lots better than TMPGEnc for cutting mpeg2 files.
