| Splitting a .DAT file into different chapters for a VCD I have a .DAT file from a VCD, and i would like to split up the file so that when i burn it as a VCD using nero there can be individual chapters. It is a concert, and i would like it so that each chapter would be a different song, so that i dont have to go through the cd each time i want to hear a different song. Any ideas? which program can do this?

| Re: Splitting a .DAT file into different chapters for a VCD You can use VCDGear to convert your DAT to MPG. Then use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools Merge and Cut option to cut the MPG file into several pieces. It would be easier though to use VCDEasy and set chapter points at the song breaks rather than cutting the file. |

| Re: Splitting a .DAT file into different chapters for a VCD As Daemonicus said, you must convert the DAT to a proper MPG file first, VCDGear can do that for ya. No need to cut them, just burn it back with VCDEasy (last free version was 1.1.5.2 ) and set the Chapter points there.

| Re: Splitting a .DAT file into different chapters for a VCD You could just do everything in NeroVision Express. Makes it real simple to do and works great for me. ![]()
