| Shortening a MPG file Is there a way to shorten a mpg file? If I have a 90 minute movie, that I only want to keep 30 seconds of, and I cut out the rest, the file size seems to be the same since it’s just the linked part that is smaller, while the actual MPG file size remains the same. Any thoughts?? |

| Re: Shortening a MPG file Huh?!! What are you using to cut the section out with? Use VideoReDo to cut out a section of an mpeg file. The resulting clip that you get will be VERY much smaller in size. This is not a free tool by the way, but there is a free demo available for download. If you want a free mpeg editing tool, look up Cuttermaran. |
