Replacing the audio on video with other audio

I got some music videos, but they are unfortunately censored (rap so its alot of censoring) and I cant stand that. I was wondering if its possible to remove the audio from the music video, and put the audio from a cd (uncensored) over it. but got no idea at all on any programs that are close to doing that, any suggestions?

Re: Replacing the audio on video with other audio

I'm not an expert in this, but maybe the only way to do it is reauthor the movie. First you should extract video stream and save on HD without audio. Then you should rip audio from CD, then reauthor extracted video with extracted audio.

Maybe (I'm not sure) VirtualDubMod is able to do that

Re: Replacing the audio on video with other audio

If you can find the audio track that fits the version/mix/length of the video/clip, then just use Virtual Dub to load the clip, select direct stream for the video and none for the audio, then save it. Load the video again, then also load the audio track and save both as new avi file.

Re: Replacing the audio on video with other audio

The way I do it is extract the audio from the final video. Convert the censored audio to wav and put it into a wav editor (Cool Edit Pro 2) in one track, then put the original CD audio into another track and make the cd audio match the original audio.... that way they sync.

Re: Replacing the audio on video with other audio

DVDLAB would allow you to bring in the VOB file of the DVD and remove only the audio track. Then you can bring in a new uncensored audio track and compile the DVD. If you wanted to you could leave the original audio track in the DVD and put in a new audio track as a secondary audio program. All this can be done in DVDLAB.
