I hope moderator could close this thread as soon as possible.
Also please delete all of my posts in this thread. I'm really regret for linking the tools in this thread. Hope Microsoft DRM Work Team didn't minded with my previous posts.

Re: Removing DRM from WMV ???

Thanx L33VaNcL33F..
This message was NOT written by a fake account of someone else.
By the way thanking someone is a sign of respect to labour, so i have been doing every time. Actually, i don't prefer using English forums regularly but yesterday, as a first time; i faced a problem with DRM and made a search via google and reached this site. I really did what i wanted to do with a pleasure, so i appreciated the source of that. I wonder yr first message pyro_dragun, i m sure that it was a thank or thread-middle message. If u r a guest, first u should sit near the door, then by the time, u sit closer to window..

Re: Removing DRM from WMV ???

When I open Windows Media Player 9 regularly (without drmdbg.exe) and I play one of my DRM files, it says: "Windows Media Player is not installed properly. Reinstall the Player."

This only happens when drmv2clt.dll is in the windows media folder... Once I take it out it plays regularly. Is this normal?

Re: Removing DRM from WMV ???

Sorry... Disregard the post I previous made. I finally got it to work...

Now I got another question... It seems the non-drm file is not convertable... I tried a couple programs so far and all of them won't convert it. Do you guys know a program that can convert it?

I reformatted my whole computer for it to work, but there are other ways to fix this problem... If you have update KB891122 installed, remove it. According to Microsoft, to remove this update, you must uninstall the Windows Media Format Runtime by using Add or Remove Programs. I uninstalled it but it didn't work for me... Good luck.

Hope this helps!

Formatting a computer - I'd like to see it in action.

Happy new Year to everyone!

Re: Removing DRM from WMV ???

1. Install fresh Windows XP SP1 (English)
2. Download and install WMP9 from Microsoft
3. Make sure you are now able to play the T2_part1.wmv files from the Terminator 2 DVD. That requires running dvdrun.exe, individualizing WMP and finding the right proxy if you are not in US to get the license.
4. Get the DRM2WMV files from DOOM9 forum
5. Download Japanese version of WMP9 from Microsoft (same link as 2, but change the language)
6. Doubleclick the downloaded file, it will unpack all installation files to temp directory in your Documents and Settings directory. Get the drmv2clt.dll file and copy it to c:Program FilesWindows Media Player directory. Cancel the Japanese WMP9 installation.
7. Edit lines 9-12 of the drmdbg.ini downloaded from step 4 as written bellow

drmv2clt=1;
drmclien=0;
blackbox=0;
indivbox=0;

8. Doubleclick drmdbg.exe. It should open WMP. Navigate to T2_part1.wmv. After acquiring the license the drmdbg DOS window should display something like this:

drmdbg Ver 0.31 by taku
CreateProcess: c:Program FilesWindows Media Playerwmplayer.exe
010010C5 âvâ?âOâëâC âGâôâgâ?ü[ â|âCâôâg
IsDebuggerPresent: memwriteret=1 callret=0
crc: 2850B98C c:Program Fileswindows media playerdrmv2clt.dll
setbp 09252BCC 50
eax 00D6E1C8

LCqa6j9UTtiPj3FZKZ0pFnIYzaM=

[]

Copy the last 6 lines and paste them to T2_Part1.key text file to the drm2wmv1241drm2 directory. Do the same for parts 2-7.

9. Copy the seven T2_PartX.wmv files from the DVD to the drm2wmv1241 directory.
10. Change your date to 12/Feb/2005
11. Open DOS window, go to drm2wmv1241 directory. Type
md c:windows#dummy
drm2wmv T2_Part1.wmv

The file should be decrypted. Here is what I see:

J:drm2wmv1241>md c:windows#dummy

J:drm2wmv1241>drm2wmv T2_Part1.wmv
DRM(Ver1&2) Conversion tool Ver 1.241 by taku

J:drm2wmv1241>drm2wmv T2_Part1.wmv
DRM(Ver1&2) Conversion tool Ver 1.241 by taku
DRMv1 KID (17fG9KorUkm83BmyUnPv3w==)
DRMv2 KID (17fG9KorUkm83BmyUnPv3w==)
?SâpâPâbâgE?: 110189ü@1âpâPâbâgâTâCâY: 9418
|################# | 34%

Repeat for the other six parts.

12. Join the decrypted files

EDIT: I was able to join the files with AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner.

Good luck
