Hey! All

I've got a Hitachi GD 7500 DVD Rom Dive and a Real Magic Hollywood Decoder Card.

Now, I normally use the Remote Selector software to play my DVD's with Macrovision disabled.

The thing is my DVD drive and Real Magic card are on Region 2 but remote selector won't let me enable the regionless function tab because it says it that to enable this function the DVD drive must be made region free.

I have the Hitachi hack utility which I got from HERE which allows me to reset the drive region indefinitively since I don't want to chance flashing of the drive.

If I change the Hitachi DVD drive to region 1 by placing a Region 1 DVD in the drive will this automatically cause my Real Magic decoder card to reset to region 1 and thereby use up one of my chances to change the region of decoder card?????.....Or do you think this will allow me to play a region 1 film without changing the region counter of the card.????
