Quicktime to DVD - Club CDFreaks

Does anyone know of a procedure to convert a movie in Quicktime (QT) to DVD? Any information would be appreciated.

You can use TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress for converting and then author using TMPGEnc DVD Author.

This doesn't work for me. The resulting video is garbled!

Try using WinAVI converter to convert the QuickTime video to avi, then use Nero to burn it on a DVD.

@@@ Why can't you just convert/export it to Mov, then burn via iDVD?

QT would be MOV.

and only mpeg2 is a suitable VideoDVD format.

@@@ Ah! Yes, of course. What I wanted to ask is what would be the best settings for the Mov before exporting to DVD?

You can use SUPER converter (Google it) is freeware and convert most of the known video format with no problem.

Not sure what you mean by the best settings. You want NTSC, 8000-9000 bit rate, and ac3 audio at 48hz...

Hi,

I have just downloaded this software and was wondering if you are anyone can help me with the right options/settings.

I am downloading 720P HD Quicktime movie trailers and would like to watch them on my home cinema system via the DVD player. Putting several onto DVD.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

not to get off track but I found a good converter that would also change .asx to .mp3. might be an option somewhere along the line

cheap too. CaptureWiz will capture video from your screen and saves it in a easy to burn format too. I use it all the time and is priceless to me when doing a screen capture for anything.
