quality of a vcd

how is this possible? i'm sure none of them is a svcd, 'cause nero didn't give me any error, and anyway my pioneer can't play 'em; dvdx's output quality was set to high, so i don't know where the error could be...
any help will be much appreciated!

The quality of a VCD depens on many things. One of the most important things is the encoder that's being used. The way of encoding is a second thing that influences the quality.

Usually, I use DVD2SVCD to encode. Although I only used it for SVCD, I think it can handle VCD as well, since the program can encode in MPEG1 as well.

For encoding purposes, I can advice 2 encoders: TMPEGEnc (its partially free) and Cinema Craft Encoder (very good and fast, but expensive encoder). These programs can be used togetheter with DVD2SVCD.

on a sidenote , could you please look at myth number 3 in this link ?

If this were an US server , the management should turn you in or face consequences under penalty of law themselves, don't forget that.

(This is not meant to insult you , just to get rid of the 24 hour myth and be careful how you word things.)
