| Problems with DVD-RAM Ok ... I just installed a Toshiba DVD-RAM drive and VOB InstantCD/DVD. After formatting the disk, I started to 'drag and drop' files (approx. 2.2Gb) for backup. This is where the problem comes in, it freezes at approx. 40-50%++ and I have to reset my PC. This happens everytime but transferring small files (200MB +) have no problem at all. 'DMA' is checked for this drive (Sec master) and I have to admit I have a 'slow' PC running on WIN98, P3 450 on a BX board with 256mb of ram. Is this a problem with my 'slow' PC or is there a problem with the drive itself? |
