| problems with deinterlacing ! maybe someoene can help me with this weird problem im having. im currently using xmpeg 4.5 and divx pro 5.0.5 about a couple of months ago i ripped friends season 7 (PAL) to divx and everything came out great. now when i tried to rip season 1 and season 2 i found that the output is very bad during any type of movements UNLESS i use the deinetrlace option and specifically "GREEDY ODD". any other deinterlace option has no effect! on the x-files dvd's the same thing happens. oddly enough when i encode normal PAL movies (Ronin e.g.) i don't need to use deinterlace and everything is ok. my questions are these: 1) xmpeg 5 as i have seen does not have the "greedy odd" option in the deinterlace option, so it is useless to me! anywhay it can be added back? any workaround? 2) why does only greedy odd work? everything is in PAL !! as i said season 7 needs no deintelace but season 1 does!!! pls help! thanks! |
