Can Anyone Tell How Can You Check If A Police Arrest Video Has Been Altered. I Have Just Received My Arrest Dash-cam Video Dvd Copy From This Illinois Police Dept, And I Know From Memory That It Has Been Altered, But I Can't Tell By Looking At It. Any Pro's Out There That Can Help Out.

I doubt if anyone here can help you with this. You would need a professional video editing program and a person with the skills to know what to look for, also you would need the video, I believe you need a court order to obtain a copy these and a damn good reason.

I think there is no easy way to check such content for alterings because its digital content.
The only chance would be if you can find some obvious cuts or merges on the content itself.
It#s probably possible, but hard to achieve.

The only thing I could tell you is to check and see if you can find any spots in the video where there are and hickups or it suddenly studders at any parts. If it plays smooth and then all of a sudden at certain parts it studders then there always is a possibility that the video could be altered.
