Re: Pal to NTSC Conversion?

Were discussed here before. Have you tried to use Search?

As _chef_ says, there are a lot of threads on this on CDF as it is a popular topic.
I have this issue as I am British, living in Canada, and find that avoiding the switch between PAL and NTSC is easiest. I have a DVD player (not even an expensive one) that will allow playing both formats. I usually just burn a copy of the PAL DVD with Any DVD and Clone DVD to remove the regional coding, and then play like normal. This seems much more reliable than conversion for me.

Chef is right. However, the matter still appears to be pretty much up in the air.

I started with a PAL region 2 DVD and tried to convert it to a NTSC region free version

I got this far.....

I have used DVD Decrypter to create a region free DVD.

I used Magic DVD Ripper to convert the DVD into an MPEG-2 folder on my hard drive.

I opened Nero and chose DVD-Video

I clicked on More

I clicked on Video Option

I clicked United States NTSC

I then had a choice between...

CAPTURE VIDEO
ADD VIDEO FILES
MAKE MOVIE
MAKE SLIDE SHOW
IMPORT AVCHD
IMPORT DISC

....and I am blowed if I know what to do next.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
