Nero Vision Stuttery playback in project

Hello All.

I have this very strange problem with with Nero Vision, I'm trying to make a DVD with a bunch of Mpeg movies and I make all my titles and edits ect, and when I preview the project, some of the videos seem fine but they appear to stutter or very choppy?

They play fine on VLC and Media Player.

Any Advice???

I think you haven't given us enough detail to suggest a solution. There are several different types of "MPEG" and we really could do with knowing what the source material came from.

You say they play fine on VLC and media player, so what is the problem? Do you mean prior to combining them, they play OK; but afterwards, they don't?

Re: Nero Vision Stuttery playback in project

Hi there are

.mpeg videos I took with my video camera, used pinnacle studio to trim and edit ect, and used nero vision to make a DVD Project.

As you said they play perfect on VLC and Media player, but for some weird reason, when I'm previewing the project before I burn to make sure all is ok One or Two videos are choppy in places.

I'm going to try and burn the project onto my hard drive to find out what the problem is.

Thanks for your info so far.

To be honest if you're going to do editing of home movies seriously, you need a decent MPEG editor. What's your camera (make, model number etc), and how did you import the footage?

I'm still not sure why you're using NeroVision...

BTW I'm going to transfer this to our Video Edit software forum, where you may get better help.

Edit: Done.

Forget Nero, only use the pinnacle software.

Enable 'SmartEncoding'. The way you have it set it is re-encoding all your stuff.

Did you start over from scratch or did you just re-load a Nero Project?

Just do the file that is giving you problems by itself and see what happens.

Re: Nero Vision Stuttery playback in project

Whats the best way also to get the files burned onto a disk?

As you know, I used Pinnacle to make and design the idea, saved it works fine, but I'm using Nero Vision and its giving me problems, when I add it into Nvision it doesn't work properly.

any ideas?
