nero vision 4 & ati theater 550 pro problem

I downloaded the latest Nero 7 Demo pack (7.0.1.4).
I tried to use Vision 4 for capturing from S-Video input of my Sapphire TheatriX (ATI 550 Pro chip).
The preview shows video & audio correctly, but when I start to record, the input source switches from S-Video to TV channel n.04, and the recording stops with the message "no signal" (this happens beacuse I haven't connected an antenna for now - I'm not interested in TV recording).
This happens even if I try to record from composite input, too.
I don't know why every time I try to record from an external source Nero Vision change my input selection to channel n.04!
The WDM drivers for the ATI Theatre 550 are the last WHQL available from the ATI site.
Anybody had similar problems?

Re: nero vision 4 & ati theater 550 pro problem

I would use a tool like VirtualDub to capture that way.

Yes, but with VirtualDub you can't use the ATI's built in hardware MPEG-2 encoding features. You have to select a software codec for file output...

Re: nero vision 4 & ati theater 550 pro problem

Ahead contacted me and confirmed the current (v4.0.1.9) lack of support for the ATI Theater 550 Pro based boards. Maybe in the next revisions...

Re: nero vision 4 & ati theater 550 pro problem

Yes, every time I try to use S-Video to capture on my Theater 550 using Nerovision 4, my computer will crash and restart.

I've been searching forever all over trying to find an equivelant replacement.

I recently upgraded from Nero 6 to 7 and now have this problem. Has anyone found a solution. I'm think about downgrading back to Nero 6.
