MPEG2 Editing

Got a large (3GB) MPEG2 video i want to edit. Im happy with the quality, i just want to remove sections, then join it all together again.

I want to do this without having to re-encode it.

I have used nanoPEG editor, and it happily allows me to cut it into sections.

My initial MPEG is recognised by ULEAD Studio (my choice of software to create a DVD from my MPEG file), but a nanoPEG'd file is not.

What tools are out there to allow me to cut and paste large MPEG2 files without re-encoding?

You could try TMPGEnc or Wombles MPEG2VCR, both good MPEG-2 editors.

Wait a minute, you can EDIT in TMPGEnc?? I thought you could only reencode. Am I missing something here? (And hey, that's VERY likely!! )
