Hi. I have a Sony Vaio MX-10 with a Pioneer DVD-RW drive (DVR-103) I believe. I would like to make a 1:1 backup of a dvd movie or a ps2 game. How??

I heard that it cant be done but I can write the image to the hard drive and then burn it? How do I do this and what programs do I use. The only Burning program i have are Veritas RecordNow DX

I woul be very grateful if someone told me step by step how I can successfully do this....

1:1 copies can NOT be done... u will need to downsample big movies so they fit onto your disks... also you need a modchip in your PSX2!

Thanks for replying. Will the Pioneer DVD-RW drive (DVR-103) work for making ps2 back ups if I have a modchip?

Also can you give me a basic layout of what I need to downsample these movies? thanks

dvd decryptor to rip the movie vobs
ifoedit to rip out unwanted audio data and split
the movie in 2 (if required)

some movies will fit onto dvd-r fully
but you still need to use dvd decryptor to remove the protection.

Mars Attack.........is small enough to copy easily
starship troopers is on a flipper and will copy
the wild bunch is a flipper and will copy

flippers are on dvd5 (singlelayer dvds) and copy easy
