| Keep it Simple for Stupid! OK, I got my new Benq burner. I'm using DVD shrink & Nero 6 to make backups. It's great. Now I want to get movies on my Sony Clie TH55. I've tried ripping with DVDx and then using the Sony Image converter to put the AVI/mpeg on the handheld in mqv format. It gives me audio/video out of synch and small audio skips. Evidently this is a common problem. I tried some suppposed fixes for this (using Lame/MP3 @ 128 bitrate instead of ACM, making sure audio/video synch is checked) but they didn't work. All the other solutions seem to involve about a hundred steps with several tools. Is there a simple and reliable way to do this? I don't want to spend another 10 to 20 hours learning and experimenting. Freeware would be nice. |

| Re: Keep it Simple for Stupid! Hi, Every handheld introduces sync issues due to this nature of capture. What most people use to correct this easily( without getting too technical about it) is use a TBC(Timebase Corrector). Which automatically drops frames at the output of the Handheld in order to maintain AV Sync. I have heard of some reasonable TBC's available for 20$. Just connect the TBC between the Handheld and the Comp. The rest is easy. Hope this helps. Unicorn23'. |
