how to level sound volume in different videos Gday, I have 24 different clips Im encoding to put onto a dvd. Some have real low volume and some clips have excellent volume. How do I make them all have the same volume? Does TMPGEnc have any function for that? Does anyone know any good programs that will change all the clips to one volume? Thanks alot

Re: how to level sound volume in different videos Demux, normalize (use mp3gain if it's mp3 streams), re-encode, mux Note: The sound will be a bit worse due to the re-encoding except if you audio source is lossless or a mp3. //Danne

Re: how to level sound volume in different videos Demux --> VirtuaDubMod (Decompress if it's OGG Vorbis/AAC/MPEG Layer I/II) Normalize --> MP3Gain / SSRC (for the rest) Re-Encode --> oggdropXPd (OGG), faac (AAC), tooLame (MPEG Layer II), TMPGEnc (MPEG Layer I). Mux --> VirtualDubMod //Danne

Re: how to level sound volume in different videos You can find a working copy of SSRC here: http://www.rarewares.org/others.html SSRC --> Shibatch sampling rate converter compiled with ICL for speed or use the Volumax program instead (never tried it though). tooLAME: www.doom9.org --> Download --> Audio Tools --> show all audio tools //Danne

Re: how to level sound volume in different videos Danne, Thanks for your help, but I did exactly what you said and I don't think it made any difference at all. When I did it I was normalizing one long file not seperate files.
