Gday,
I have 24 different clips Im encoding to put onto a dvd. Some have real low volume and some clips have excellent volume. How do I make them all have the same volume? Does TMPGEnc have any function for that? Does anyone know any good programs that will change all the clips to one volume?

What format are the clips in?

Demux, normalize (use mp3gain if it's mp3 streams), re-encode, mux
Note: The sound will be a bit worse due to the re-encoding except if you audio source is lossless or a mp3.

They are MPEG1 and DivX formats. I have got TMPGEnc so i can change them pretty much to whatever format.

Danne, demux, normalize etc.. your saying TMPGEnc can do that? How do i tell if the sound is lossless or MP3?

Demux --> VirtuaDubMod
(Decompress if it's OGG Vorbis/AAC/MPEG Layer I/II)
Normalize --> MP3Gain / SSRC (for the rest)
Re-Encode --> oggdropXPd (OGG), faac (AAC), tooLame (MPEG Layer II), TMPGEnc (MPEG Layer I).
Mux --> VirtualDubMod

How do I get tooLame and SSRC to work in Windows XP?

Or if i can't can i use any other programs?

SSRC --> Shibatch sampling rate converter compiled with ICL for speed or use the Volumax program instead (never tried it though).

Thanks for your help, but I did exactly what you said and I don't think it made any difference at all. When I did it I was normalizing one long file not seperate files.
