How do you edit .wmv file w/ Adobe Premiere? - Club CDFreaks

I am using Premiere 6 and when I try to open a .wmv video clip, Premiere would not find it.
Premiere locates .avi file without a problem.

Help?

You will need to convert this file to an .avi file type before you can edit it in any version prior to Premiere Pro. Pro is the only version that supports direct editing of the .wmv file extension.

further to this, does anyone know if it is possible to edit a wmv file in Premiere CS3... For a MAC
