Editing DVD Sitcoms - Club CDFreaks

Ive been using DVDFAB to back up my DVD's and now Im backing up a few TV sitcoms. My question is how do I edit the opening scenes out. I tried using Nero Vision but it doesnt seem to reduce the MB's used on the DVD project. Any Help would be great

Editing video files require specific tool based on the video format.

For AVI I suggest VirtualDub, for DVD (aka vob files) I suggest DVD Shrink

I read the DVD Shrink details and it doesnt say anything about editinf the movies. Is there something I am missing?
