DVDx for making SVCd

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with DVDx (v2.0). A work colleague uses it and seems to think it's pretty good.

How does picture quality compare to DVD2svcd when making SVCD's?

Is it faster to rip and encode? (I believe it uses it's own built-in encoder?).

Cheers.

Let´s say DVD2(S)VCD with Tmpeg has 2 times better quality and DVD2(S)VCD with CCE 100 times better quality!

Is it faster to rip and encode?
1 1/2 - 2 times slower as DVD2(S)VCD!

I believe it uses it's own built-in encoder?
Yes a built-in encoder, but not exactly it´s own!

The built in encoder sux, best results are those that can be frameserved to TMPGenc or CCE if you can ever get it to work.. But DVD2SVCD with TMPGenc with the same source will give a better picture, and with CCE even better again as Rotame said.

Thanks guys.
The chappie using it reckons it's really great, but I had my doubts.
It seemed pretty unlikely to me that a programme that was just over 1mb. could compare with one over 6mb., particularly considering the complexity of working with compressed video. You've just saved me wasting a lot of time messing around with it!
