| DVD Riping to ??? What is the best way of extracting an original DVD into another format (what should I convert to: Divix, vcd, svcd, mpg ???) What s the best and easy program to use. I would like to have a very good image as possible. thank you. |

| The best format compression-wise is Divx. If you want to play them in 99% of DVD Players, VCD. If you want better compression, but less compatibility, SVCD. If you want the best lossless compression, Huffyuv. The best conversion tool is under debate, but IMHO, With lots of disk space: Smart Ripper & Flask .601 preview, or if you are a newbie, EasyDivx With a small amount of disc space: DVDX, or FlaskMPEG DeCss 0.594 Remember, just my thougts, not to be mistaken as facts. (Yes I know, In a perfect world everything I say would become fact, but.... ) |
