| DVD Authoring from Camcorder I have a Sony Digital 8 Camcorder. How long should the DVD authoring process take? In oder to download an hour long video I realize that it takes an hour to download the video from the video camera to the PC, but once it's on the PC how long should it take? I used Ulead VideoStudio 6 for the fisrt time and it took another 1 hour and 30 minutes to make the video into a DVD format and that does not include the time it took to burn it to the DVD itself. I have a RAID array and I assumed it would be a little faster then an 1 hour+ to author the DVD to the hard drives. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if this is normal. Any tweaks or settings to speed the process woudl be helpful. Thanks for the input |

| VS 6 has not only authored it but has also converted the movie to a DVD compliant file. The time it takes is more dependant on your CPU speed, not your HD speed.
