Video Edit Software Discuss, donno why this wont work. jvc camera at International Chat: Software related forum; Alright i bet u guys get tons of questions like this, for some reason my camera wont connect to any of my computer. I'm trying to take videos off my camera. Ive done it before on 2 of them. Now i get nothing when i plug them in. I

Alright i bet u guys get tons of questions like this, for some reason my camera wont connect to any of my computer. I'm trying to take videos off my camera. Ive done it before on 2 of them. Now i get nothing when i plug them in. I use a usb cable which has never given me any problems in the past. Its a jvc camera. gr-d370u, if any one has any ideas or has come across this prob before please help me with this. lol im starting to get really pissed at this damn camera. its going to go threw a wall in about 20 mins.

most likely you need to use the firewire/DV outlet on your camera. USB is generally only for picture transfer.

ya know ide say your right and i am gonna try using firewire/dv. but i dont understand why a month ago the usb would work and now it wont.

Try all the usb ports on your computer, sometimes one of the ports might be bad. If that doesn't work then try a new usb cable. If that doesn't work then either your usb connection on the camera or the computer is bad. I would stick with the firewire though. I have a Sony DCR-TRV280 Digital8 and I was using the usb untill I tried the firewire port. It's about 7 times faster and it does sound and video. It also lets you import all your videos as Digital Video (mostly .avi), or other formats if you choose, so that way you can encode it with your program of choice and put it into your media devices if you choose.
