Video Edit Software Discuss, Does 'Idle' in DVD2SVCD's 'Process priority' affect video quality? at International Chat: Software related forum; I'm curious to know if choosing 'idle' in 'Process priority' under the Misc tab in DVD2SVCD can cause any fall in produced SVCD quality, when DVD2SVCD needs to give absolute preference to other working apps. I don't mind the extra time but I'm a bit worried that

Does 'Idle' in DVD2SVCD's 'Process priority' affect video quality?

I'm curious to know if choosing 'idle' in 'Process priority' under the Misc tab in DVD2SVCD can cause any fall in produced SVCD quality, when DVD2SVCD needs to give absolute preference to other working apps.
I don't mind the extra time but I'm a bit worried that not giving it exclusivity might degrade the video quality. From what I know, it shouldn't but any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
TIA.

In a word, no.

It merely set the priority of the process to idle, so that you can do anything on your computer while it encodes, and it will use the CPU cycles for your tasks and leave whatever is left to CCE.
