Well 1st of all wich playstation are we talking about??
2`nd its possible to play vcd`s on your ps2 by converting them to a special format that the ps2 can read so its possible to covert a divx to a vcd and then to the ps2 format(keep in mind this will be a big lost of quality of your movie).

You can get a DivX player for the dreamcast if ur interested.

Has to be a certian resolution etc to play it though.
