When you loaded in the m2v file (and re-named the audio file to EXACTLY the same name, except for the mpa bit) did you see the audio actually load in afterwards automatically? If not, check your spelling/renamed file. If yes, then I suggest you have a problem with PowerDVD.

Have you actually tried encoding it yet? The preview does not always work and personly I never use it anyway.

Tried encoding it but it crashed when cce started

I have converted 100's to svcd from dvd but I would like to convert some of the divx ones I have back to dvd.

All help appreciated thx

In preview it says avi source could not decompress frame 0

I have also checked the file with gspot and it says it was ok.

I have even tried the latest ver of dvd2svcd with same results

Chiken Man,

Quality guide my friend, however I have a problem that is driving me nuts!

If I follow your guide exactly CCE crashes right after the point where it loads up the 'Avisinth_script_file'. I suspect it is something to do with the 'DVD output' resizing (if i run it with exactly the same settings but select (s)VCD in the Avisynth section, there is no crash!)

have you any ideas please, as this is driving me mad having to wait an hour every time I run it with alternate settings to try and get past that same point.

thanks,

Messa
