I transfered from my Sony mini-dv cam to a G4 Mac using Imovie. I kept there for a while , but since it did not have a burner I transfered all to my win2000. When I did this, it created a quicktime file (a master file) and a folder where all the clip files are stored. When I use Ulead DVD movie factory to create a dvd, it creates it but no sound is produced. I then tried different settings in Quicktime to export the movie to a single file and nothing. I tried export to avi with ntsc-dv settings and nothing. I dl'd a file called movtoavi, i havent tried it because the damn thing only saves to the c drive and there is no way to change it. My c drive has 1gb left.

Use Quicktime and Export the file using the best settings in Radius Cinepak Option In QT(the only avi format supported by QT) and then Input this file to Tmpgenc and do the rest as given in the guides.

NOTE: the bitrate you select in QT for the Cinepak o/p will decide the Quality of the DVD and the size of the avi file output by QT(be careful)
