Video Edit Software Discuss, Capturing an image at International Chat: Software related forum; I can capture an image from a normal dvd using PowerDVD5, but how can I capture an image from an AVI file? My current divx player has no option for this. Is there a program I can download that does have this option? Thanks.

Virtualdub, video, copy source frame to clipboard.
Open any graphics program, and paste.

Re: Capturing an image

Just play the avi file in PowerDVD and use the same capturing procedure that you use to capture DVD

Then, as reboot suggested, VirtualDub will do it best.
