| ? Building a (DVD) Title From Separate Chapters Hi, I’m trying to shrink a bonus title to fill up the unused space on a disc. It will need to be about 41% of its original size. I’ve shrunken it four times (two transcodes and two reencodes), and compared the results to see which one is best to use that one. The problem is that each one is better in some chapters and worse in others. What I would like to do is to rebuild the title, going through each chapter and using the best one. (Yes, I’ll probably end up over the size limit some, but I’ll deal with that if and when I get to it.) So, I need a way of cutting out one or more chapters from a title as well as a way of building a title from multiple chapters. I’ve seen some apps handle this stuff transparently, but I need to do it manually now. How can I do that? Thanks a lot.

| Re: ? Building a (DVD) Title From Separate Chapters Actually you can. Here's the guide: http://www.dvdshrink.info/compilation.php. What the guide didn't show was selecting chapters. This one: http://www.dvdshrink.info/reauthor_intermediate.php does. |

| Re: ? Building a (DVD) Title From Separate Chapters Well I’m exhausted. I’ve been working on this all day. Here’s a summary of the broard strokes: I cut each chapter from the best source with Shrink, put the VOBs in a folder, and renamed them. I used VobEdit’s join-clips function and built a single VOB. The problem is that each chapter in the new VOB has a separate, incrementing VobID and CellID of 1. I used IfoEdit’s CreateIFOs and the result was neither playable in any player I tried it in, nor editable in any editor I tried it in. I tried running it through VIDChanger to reassign the VobIDs to 1 with incrementing CellIDs (which worked), but it still doesn’t play and cannot be opened in editors. Any ideas?
