Video Edit Software Discuss, AVI to MPEG - VCD help - Subtiles at International Chat: Software related forum; I converted an AVI to MPEG using TMPgenc. Everything looked great on the previews but when I burned into a VCD and played on the DVD, the subtitles are chopped off. I only can see the tops of the letters. I've tried converting with the Aspect Ratio 4:3

AVI to MPEG - VCD help - Subtiles

I converted an AVI to MPEG using TMPgenc. Everything looked great on the previews but when I burned into a VCD and played on the DVD, the subtitles are chopped off. I only can see the tops of the letters. I've tried converting with the Aspect Ratio 4:3 525line (NTSC) and also 1:1 (VGA), both with Full Screen but they both cut off the subtext.

Hardcoded subs?

Then the aspect ratio is not correct.

I think so. Sorry but I'm not sure. It's an anime that was fansubbed so I'm pretty sure it is hardcoded.

You can crop in TMPGE, maybe crop off a few lines on top so the pictures would be shifted up.
