hi guy....

i try to add a chinese subtitle in my movie, but it's just keep pop up the unknow
charactor.

i always check my sub-title file name follow the movie file name or not before i preview with media classic player in order to make sure the subtitle will appear.

everything is ok,the sub did appear ok for the English,Spanish and etc...
but onlt for the chinese sub turn up to be nuts.....

it did appear.... means that the file name's match...
i try to seach for any option to "thick" or "set" but there's nothing to find.

last time i though, after convert the movie the sub will turn up ok but it's remain same.
i don't know what i'm missing.....software...codec....or ....etc.....(just a guess)

Re: Why the chinese subtitle go crazy ???

Your program isn't unicode, what means that it doesn't support all languages. 95 % of programs found on english sites support only english keyboard characters.

Re: Why the chinese subtitle go crazy ???

See if your dvd auth program supports unicode, if it does, convert the sub file to unicode format instead of Big5 or GB.

Hi,Guys
i slove the problem already, although i install the unicode it doesn't work.
here is the clue.
First,You must having a chinese language converter (NJstar shareware)

Chinese srt file come with many kind of format (Exp:Big5,Tradisitional & etc...)
Pls confirm which format the srt file is.

Run the NJstar, then to confirm the status, open the srt file with note pad
(Be sure you un-tick check box at the bottom >>always open with .... )

after it view and check the language display...is it the chinese charator display properly and correct.

If not...... change the setting at the NJstar....Until you found the correct setting
then your movie and your chinese subtitle file is ready to convert guys...
