VOB ASPI Layer

Hello,

My question is regarding the VOB ASPI Layer. The version I have is from the year 2002, I think it is the latest version. This ASPI Layer really works fantastic for me. Better than Adaptec and Nero. I was wondering if it was still in development or not? I have a felling it has ended. If anyone could give me some info I would appreciate it.

Thank you,

Peter

Hi Peter, the last version I found is dated October 7 2002, and you can find it here:

ftp://ftp.steinberg.net/download/pc/...ates/ASAPI.exe

What OS are you using? Can you explain me why it is better than the one by Adaptec?
I have some problems with NTI CD-Maker 6 Platinum and my SCSI drives, and maybe the problem could be
in the ASPI layer... (I use Adaptec 4.60(1021, which always worked fine for me...)
Thanks for any info,

Luca

To Eltranquil:

My operating system is WinMe. I was having problems with burning and ripping CD's. It did not matter what program I was using. As an example I use Exact Audio Copy, CDex, CDBurner XP Pro ( great free burning program), BurnAt Once, Adaptec Easy CD Creator, and Nero Burning Rom. If I tried to rip a cd my computer and cd drive would lock up. If I tried to burn a cd, the writing process would stop half way through the task of writing the cd. After installing VOB Aspi the problems ceased. Also, it seemed the ripping and burning seemed to be a little faster. You could install the ASPI layer and try it. You can also remove it and install Nero's version or Adaptec again if it does not work. This is a good site for the VOB Aspi layer, http://cheetah.webtribe.net/~sirquk/ASPI.html

Good luck
