| Very unique ID3 Tag Problem, making track numbers from filenames... letter vs numbers I am trying to help a person put his mp3 files onto his mp3 player in the correct order. The album and artist sorting is perfectly fine. Normally, it will look to the track number to keep them in the correct order on the album, but he has not input the track number as a part of the ID3 tag. Normally this would be an easy fix. A program such as MP3 tag tools can be used to take the numbers of the tracks such as "13 - song title" and put it as a part of the ID3 tag in the track number field. Unfortunately, he has his tracks labeled in a fashion where instead of a number, he has a letter of the alphabet, something like "A - song title" or "Asongtitle" (did not see it personally to ask if there is dashes etc). Is there a program to be able to tag them properly, and convert the letter of the alphabet to a number? Can this be done with the great, free tool MP3 tag tools? Thank you so very much for any input!! If this is not an option, he will have to input track numbers for 1200+ songs!! PS: You guys rock, but you already knew that ! ![]()
