I have installed SP4 on 3 systems now, without a single problem. These all were systems with a fully updated W2K + SP3 installation.

Do you perhaps have any piece of exotic hardware installed, that could lead to incompatibility problems (driverproblems)?

I don't know for sure when W2K starts logging, but you might want to take a look at the system's logs (in the administrative tools).

Quick guide to avoid problems with computers revision 2.
1) Make at least 3 backups (preferrably off site)
2) Stay the hell away from Partition Magic
3) *Added by popular demand* Avoid accidentially ghosting over your disk.
