Roadworker>>>> I could try that but at the moment I don't have my oringal as I let a friend borrow it.. and as he has gone away it's a little hard to use betablocker |

| Well this might be quite interesting! http://pub42.ezboard.com/funofficial...ID=12061.topic I don't have the game, but for anyone who has, why not try to READ your SD2.51.XX protected game from your normal dvd/cd drive, and then burn it with your plexie 24x if you have this problem child ![]() This guy seems to have some succes. Is this a revert copyprotection in a sense? the ordinary sd2 worked because of the last step before writing by overloading the EFM encoder, but does this new protection do something similar to the plexie when it READS or? Well, be your own judge if you have the game! Regards RubberDuck |

| @SirDavidGuy Yep I'm sure that it said 2.51, this is SDA V3.4, after it detacted it it told me to report it an addy which I havn't had the time to do at the moment. I could be wrong on that the game was 2.51 when it first game out but as I siad Unsafedisk 2.40.10 unwraped the exe file. |

| SD Analyser will not detect 2.51.021. Only by hexing the exe can you determine the version after 2.5 At this time 51.021 is the latest. 020 is still copyable with AWS or a Plex, Acer & Philips. Acers will produce a working backup of 021 in the burner only (gotta use Hide CD-R Media). I don't have a Philips so I can't test this But I'm guessing that they can.

| I'm sure that the Safedisc version can be updated. That's what the last patch for Max Payne EXPLICITLY does. If you can't make a pefect copy, try DAEMON TOOLS. |

| @aaa: Yes, it can, but only with software-specific things, like ATIP checks, etc. This is what happened between SD2.3 & SD2.4. However, this difference between SD2.4 & SD2.5 is a physical difference on the CD-ROM. No software patch can magically update a SD2.4 game to a SD2.5 game. |
