a simple question that will no doubt have a simple answer

Is there a file i can download that will allow a Playstation 2 become region free in regards to playing DVD movies?

any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, but your PS2 would need to be modded, which would remove the region protection in the first place. You have to buy a real PS2 region free disc.
